November 11, 1918The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, Armistice was reached, bringing WWI to a close. It is on this day at this time that we show our gratitude and honor the hundreds of thousands of brave Canadian soldiers who fought selflessly for their country and its citizens.
Without their gallant efforts, we may be still living under a Hitler regieme, opression, or many other horrors that they fought to prevent.
In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
